Say goodbye to your paper license. No later than Oct. 13, 2023, Arizona debt collection agencies must transition their collection agency and/or premium finance license to the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS).
Members can refer to the necessary documents on the NMLS State Licensing Requirements page for information on how to transition your Arizona collection agency and/or premium finance license to the NMLS.
Note: It is important that you have the appropriate transition number available when completing and submitting your transition application so you are not charged a new application fee.
- The transition number is your AZ-DFI license number without the leading alpha characters or zeros. This is found on top of your AZ-DFI license after the letters “CA -” or “PF-”.
- As an example, if your license number is CA-0000016, the transition number would be 16. If your license number is PF-BR-1234567 the transition number is 1234567.
- If the NMLS transition application creates a new application fee and license fee, please do not proceed but rather contact [email protected] to correct it with the NMLS.
For assistance with submitting a license transition request, please contact the NMLS call center, toll free, at (855) 665-7123. Any additional questions should be directed to [email protected].
If you do not submit your NMLS transition request by Oct. 13, 2023, you will be unable to renew your license on NMLS by the Dec. 31, 2023, expiration date.
