ACA’s Antitrust & Anti-Harassment Policies
ACA International is dedicated to providing a harassment-free association-sponsored event experience for everyone. ACA International is committed to adhering to the antitrust laws of the United States of America.
ACA International strives to provide online and live event experiences in which all participants (including members, nonmembers, staff, guests, and ACA staff) are treated with dignity, decency and respect regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, age, race, color, national origin or religion (’personal characteristics’). ACA does not tolerate harassment of event participants in any form. By way of example only, inappropriate and prohibited behaviors include: the use of vulgar or profane language; deliberately intimidating, stalking or following; harassing photography or recording; sustained disruption of events; inappropriate displays of the person, physical contact or unwelcome sexual attention; making demeaning comments or jokes, or displaying demeaning imagery based on the above-mentioned personal characteristics. Association-sponsored event participants violating these rules may be sanctioned or excluded from the event without a refund at the discretion of ACA management staff.
Participants asked to stop any harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately. Event speakers, instructors and exhibitors in the expo hall, sponsor or vendor booths (including volunteers and staff) are also expected to observe ACA’s anti-harassment policy. If a participant engages in harassing behavior, ACA staff may take any action they deem appropriate, including warning the offender or exclusion from the event with no refund. If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact an ACA staff member immediately. When physical safety is a concern, ACA staff will be happy to help participants contact venue security or local law enforcement, provide or locate escorts, or otherwise assist those experiencing harassment to feel safe for the duration of the event. ACA expects participants to follow these rules at all association event venues and related ACA-organized social events. We value your attendance.
