The Hill reviews county election trends in swing states and areas with strong electoral votes.

The 2020 General Election is two weeks away and there are several counties with past election results that could show how the electorate is feeling as Nov. 3 approaches and in future races, The Hill reports.
It’s “complicated,” however, according to the article, which maps out the race between President Donald Trump and Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden.
“The two contenders are fighting in battlegrounds stretching from the Rust Belt to the Sun Belt. They include both historic swing states and traditionally safe red states, and no demographic or state will be able to tell the story of the election all by itself,” The Hill reports.
From Macomb County, Michigan, where Trump excelled over Mitt Romney in 2016 while Hillary Clinton fell behind President Barack Obama’s record there during his reelection; to Apache County, Arizona, where 11 electoral votes are on the table in 2020, although Arizona is typically a consistent Republican state; and Conejos County, Colo., which has emerged as a solid support area for Democrats in recent elections, the article covers areas that could have a strong sway Nov. 3.
