ACA International’s newest education series on implementing the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau’s debt collection rule, Reg F, is now online to guide members through everything from disclosures to limited content messages before the compliance date.
The Reg F compliance date is Nov. 30, 2021, though the CFPB has proposed delaying it to Jan. 29, 2022, to allow supervised entities more time to implement the requirements. The bureau took comments on the proposal and has yet to announce its decision, ACA previously reported.
Whethe compliance is required this year or early next year, ACA knows its members are already working on updating their policies and procedures and is here to help with this new course series: ACA How: Regulation F Implementation.
The series covers every part of Reg F that requires organizational change, including how to implement those changes and who needs to be involved. Each section is broken into short videos presented by industry leaders and includes a tip sheet to support the course subject.
Courses range from sending required disclosures to time-barred debt, limited content messages and communications with a consumer.
Reg F is the biggest change for the accounts receivable management (ARM) industry since the inception of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. Implementation will be challenging without assistance, but this series of videos— introduced by ACA Corporate Counsel Colin Winkler—will guide you through what exactly is needed to comply with Reg F. This series dissects every section of Reg F with instructions on how members will need to adjust their business practices.
Members will have access to 15 hours of education taught by industry-leading professionals, all broken down into 3-to-5 minute easy-to-navigate tutorials.
If your company has multiple people attending ACA’s webinars, consider investing in the All-Access Training Zone, which includes bundled education from ACA at one low price. Existing All-Access Training Zone subscribers will automatically have access to ACA How: Regulation F Implementation.
