Coast Professional Inc., an ACA International member company based in New York, recently announced the promotion of Michael Moran to vice president of IT application support and development.
Moran has over 16 years of experience in various roles within the debt collection industry and has been with Coast for nearly seven years.
In his new role, Moran will lead the software team and be responsible for identifying and implementing process and system improvements, cost reductions, revenue growth and diversification strategies for the company’s business systems. He will also act as a liaison between business partners, clients, and the IT department to create, develop and implement business solutions. Moran’s responsibilities will span across Coast’s Upstate New York and West Monroe, Louisiana locations, as well as its nationwide network of remote offices. Moran has and will continue to oversee and enhance an industry leading IT system in his new role.

Moran began his career as a debt collector and quickly rose through the ranks to become a manager of operations at only 24 years old, thanks to his inclination as a natural leader. He has worked in different positions on almost every level in the business, which gives him a unique perspective on the interworking of the IT department with other departments across the company and how interdepartmental processes can be improved.
