March 10 event focuses on consumers’ experiences in debt relief and emerging opportunities and challenges.

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau will host a day-long conference, “Evolutions in Consumer Debt Relief,” on Tuesday, March 10.
The event will explore options for consumers facing unsecured debt and limited credit options, according to the event notice from the CFPB. Panelists include representation from creditors, consumer advocates, and bankruptcy experts, as well as providers of debt settlement, debt management, and credit counseling services.
ACA staff and members will follow the event, now only streaming online, to learn more about the discussions on debt relief.
Topics on the agenda include a debt relief overview, third party debt relief offerings and an update on debt relief innovation and financial technology.
The conference concludes with a discussion on the future of debt relief emerging opportunities and challenges.
