ACA Updates SearchPoint Documents

The updates include changes to the overview of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and reflect a U.S. Supreme Court grant of certiorari on out-of-statute debts.
ACA International has updated the following ACA SearchPoint documents available for members:
- Statute of Limitations: Collecting Out-of-Statute Debts (#1119); Updated to reflect the U.S. Supreme Court’s grant of certiorari on the issue of whether filing a proof of claim on an out-of-statute debt violates the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. (see footnote 26 and corresponding text.)
- Unfair, Deceptive or Abusive Acts and Practices (#2336); Added information on Consumer Financial Protection Bureau enforcement action against Navy Federal Credit Union.
- Overview of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (#3057); Updated case law (see footnote 1, 80 and corresponding text for each footnote.
- Interstate Chart (#3005); Added editor’s note to New York City on attorney licensing, updated contact information for Arizona.
