ACA International is hosting a webinar with exclusive insights on the Federal Communications Commission’s report and order concerning call blocking and labeling at 3 p.m. CDT, Thursday, July 23. Speakers include Leah Dempsey, ACA’s vice president and senior counsel of federal advocacy, and Mark Brennan, lead innovation partner, and Arpan Sura, counsel from Hogan Lovells US LLP.
Releasing this report and order is the latest in a series of actions taken by the FCC to address “robocalls,” and has been a top focus of ACA International’s advocacy to ensure that overbroad FCC efforts do not limit accounts receivable management (ARM) industry calls. The order addresses safe harbors that will be provided to carriers and includes requirements ACA advocated for to protect legitimate business calls.
The webinar will also cover the FCC’s Further Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (FNPRM) and the opportunity to on robocall mitigation programs and redress options for callers.
ACA’s panel of experts will dive into the finer details of the order and FNPRM, as well as provide insight into what the ARM industry should focus on in coming months regarding call blocking and labeling.
