Richard A. “Dick” Boettcher Sr., a leader within ACA International’s Colorado/Wyoming unit throughout his career, died Nov. 27 at age 95.
Boettcher was the owner of Professional Finance Company and co-owner of the Northern Colorado Credit Bureau. He was past president of the Medical-Dental-Hospital Bureaus of America as well as a two-time president of ACA’s Colorado/Wyoming unit, according to his obituary. He also served many years as the unit’s legislative chairman. He was appointed by three Colorado governors to the Colorado Collection Agency Board, serving for over 20 years and multiple years as its chairman. He was also chairman of the National Collection Service Division of Associated Credit Bureaus of America.
He was a strong advocate in the accounts receivable management industry and worked tirelessly for many years on behalf of ACA in both Washington, D.C., and Denver.
Boettcher is survived by his wife Irene, son Richard Jr. (Lachelle), daughter Lori Shoop (Mike), and daughter Sue McTigue (Mike).
