Reflecting the success of ACA International’s advocacy team in Washington, D.C., Vice President and Senior Counsel of Federal Advocacy Leah Dempsey was recognized among top lobbyists by The Hill newspaper on Dec. 10.
“The list highlights the broad range of talents needed to achieve success in the influence industry. But all of the people below are key players on K Street—and the ones the nation’s biggest companies, labor unions and associations turn to when they want their voices heard in the nation’s capital.
The ranks of policy experts and influencers run deep in Washington, but these are the people who stand out for delivering results for their clients in the halls of Congress and in the administration,” The Hill reports.
“This recognition reflects the success of the comprehensive lobbying strategy developed by ACA leadership and executed by our team and ACA member volunteers,” Dempsey said.
Travis Johnson, a principal at 1607 Strategies who works with ACA as a consultant, was also recognized by The Hill.
“This year we faced several challenges from policymakers, but we were able to successfully overcome many of them. We also found opportunities to proactively promote the industry and continue to work hard on Capitol Hill to protect our member companies’ ability to successfully operate and employ thousands of people throughout the country,” Dempsey said.
