One year ago, ACA International launched ACA Cast to expand its communication outreach and connect with association members and others through the use cutting-edge technology and various forms of media.
Since then, the podcast, produced by Public Affairs Specialist Alex Szeto, has evolved into a hub for members and ACA leadership to discuss compliance, industry laws, advocacy, management and operations best practices as well as trends in technology.
With an expanding audience, popular episodes feature discussions of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau’s proposed rulemaking, state-specific trends such as class action lawsuits in West Virginia, and reform of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act.
The idea behind ACA Cast remains to provide ACA members, policymakers, the media and other stakeholders with important information and analysis related to the accounts receivable management industry. ACA kicked off the program in October 2018 before the 2018 midterm elections with a series of 10-minute episodes featuring the association’s Washington, D.C., senior-level staff, who discussed potential outcomes of the federal and state elections.
Other ACA Cast episodes for 2019 highlight ACA members and staff with expertise on subjects relevant to the success of industry professionals such as artificial intelligence; managing your brand online; guidance for recognizing and dealing with call baiting; and compliance education.
