ACA International’s Council of Delegates elected three association members to the Board of Directors on Monday, July 15, as part of the 2019 Convention & Expo in San Diego. Joining the Board for the first time to serve three-year terms are Christian D. Lehr, co-owner and VP/COO of Healthcare Collections-I LLC, of Phoenix, and Courtney Reynaud, president and CEO, of Creditors Bureau USA, of Fresno, Calif. The third newcomer elected to serve a one-year-term is Stacy J. Willis, director of operations with Account Management Resources LLC, of Oklahoma City.
Returning this year are a few familiar faces known for their selfless service to ACA International’s membership, mission and lofty goals. They are:
- Kevin Baich, vice president of Day Knight & Associates of Ballwin, MO., and the board’s new treasurer (see story titled “Change in Leadership: Weiss to Lead ACA Into the Future”).
- Jack W. Brown III, president of Gulf Coast Collection Bureau Inc. of Sarasota, Fla., and ACA’s previous board president.
- Gregg Swersky, IFCCE, chief relationship officer with Wakefield & Associates in Knoxville, Tenn.
Of the elections, ACA International CEO Mark Neeb said, “The ACA board plays a critical role in responding to member needs and driving the association forward. I truly appreciate each of these new members stepping into these valuable volunteer leadership roles, and thank them for their efforts to make the industry better for all of us.”
The three new board members filled the vacancies created by the departures of Eric Mock, owner of Medical Business Bureau LLC., of Chicago, and Pamela Kirchner, CEO of BCA Financial Services Inc., of Miami. Mock and Kirchner each served one term. Dan Russell, IFCCE, MCE, CEO/Owner of CollectionCenter Inc., Loveland, Colo., completed two terms on the board.
The ACA Council of Delegates, elected by the units and divisions, represents constituencies and has the primary responsibility of electing the ACA Board of Directors.
ACA’s Board of Directors governs the affairs, activities and concerns of the association. It consists of 15 voting members with staggered terms, plus the CEO and past president as nonvoting members.
