Learn about the most current and important issues impacting the credit reporting industry and get updates on new state and federal legislation impacting privacy and data during the 2020 Consumer Data Industry Association (CDIA) Virtual Law & Industry Conference Sept. 22-24.
The CDIA event will include half-day presentations and feature three sessions and various networking opportunities each day. The 2020 agenda explores the future of consumer reporting amid shifts in legislation, innovations in technology and evolving sources of consumer data.
Discussion topics also include identity theft and disputes, a session focused on the changing dynamics of litigation and enforcement and COVID-19 implications on the credit reporting industry.
Speaker Andrew Smith, director of the Federal Trade Commissioner’s Bureau of Consumer Protection, will address the FTC’s privacy priorities and elaborate on the commission’s recent update and improvement of its data security orders.
