Kelli Krueger recently joined ACA International’s team as the new Director of Education and is hitting the ground running with a focus on bringing her industry experience to online seminars and conferences to help members succeed.
Krueger comes to ACA with 24 years of experience in developing and delivering industry related training at CBE Companies in Iowa.
"What I love about education in this industry is you’re not just teaching people how to do their jobs, you’re teaching them life skills," Krueger said. "Think about the collector job. To be a successful collector you need to understand how to negotiate, build rapport, gain trust in a short period of time, talk people through stressful situations they didn’t choose to be in and problem solve on the fly, just to name a few skills. And they must do all this while actively listening, ensuring compliance and noting the account. That takes talents and skills."
Before coming on board with ACA, Krueger also joined staff and members at the 2020 Spring Forum & Expo in Las Vegas in March.
"Krueger is an energetic, engaging and highly creative individual who will take ACA’s educational offerings for members to the next level," said Jessica Hartmann, ACA International’s vice president of member experience.
Krueger said it’s her goal to be innovative, especially in response to the challenges and uncertainty for members related to COVID-19.
"I believe we are in a new world and the silver lining of the coronavirus, if there is one, is that it taught us that we can do things differently than we’ve ever done before," Krueger said. "If there is ever a time to be innovative and to mix things up, it’s now. My goal is to figure out what exactly that looks like for ACA education."
From her experience as a member and industry professional, Krueger said ACA is known for its great education.
"It’s a one stop shop for learning, no matter what position you play in the industry," Krueger said.
