ACA International’s Education and Membership Development Director Harry Strausser III, IFCCE, MCE, will advance the association’s international partnerships in a credit and collection conference Sept. 11-12 in Bogota, Colombia.
“This is about collaboration,” Strausser, who was invited to speak about industry markets and educational resources of ACA International at the 15th International Credit and Collection Congress, said.
The event builds on Strausser’s trip to Kingston, Jamaica, where he connected with hundreds of attendees in the industry through discussions about collections in a changing economy and adapting technologies.
The 15th International Credit and Collection Congress features more than 300 executives from the financial and telecommunications sectors of the Colombian economy, as well as guests from Argentina, Chile, Brazil, Mexico and Peru.
Strausser will have the opportunity to discuss ACA International’s resources for the industry and trends in the U.S.
“I’ll help them learn more about the direction of the market in the U.S. and where the accounts receivable management industry in the U.S. is headed,” Strausser said.
At the start of his visit to Colombia, Strausser will tour one of the country’s large collection agency call centers, Contento, and meet with management and team members.
“Collaborating to advance our international partnerships is a strong opportunity for all parties involved to learn and work together,” Strausser said.
Following the agency tour, the Credit and Collection Congress will be the site of in-depth presentations on innovation and digital transformation challenges for the credit and collection industry as well as discussions on new ways to approach clients and digitalization.
Connecting with Creditors
Later in the month, Strausser will return to the Credit Union National Association Collections and Bankruptcy School Sept. 19 to discuss industry best practices and meet with professionals in the credit union world.
Strausser will speak on “Collecting in a New Age: Approaches, Strategies and Technologies that Create Success,” and lead a best practices roundtable with attendees.
“I’ve been a speaker at this event for 20 years, and each year I learn more and help industry professionals learn strategies and the benefits of connecting with ACA,” Strausser said.
