The FCA will offer networking and educational opportunities at its annual conference.

The Florida Collectors Association (FCA) will be hosting one of the first live industry event since March through its annual conference Oct. 7-9 at the Hyatt Regency Sarasota in Sarasota, Florida.
The event will be a joint live and virtual conference, offering everyone in the accounts receivable management (ARM) industry the chance to participate in person or via their computers at home.
The hotel and the FCA are taking all the necessary precautions to ensure that individuals who choose to attend the event in person will be as safe as possible. This hotel has been hosting successful conferences at minimal inconvenience to guests with a 100% focus on safety.
"We’re so excited to be able to offer the industry the chance to come together in person and learn and network with one another again,” said Matt Kiefer, president of the FCA. “This is a time of tremendous change for the industry and staying on top of new developments, litigation trends, TCPA developments and changing technology has never been more important.”
The event will feature:
- A presentation from Robin Rock with the Federal Trade Commission’s Southeast Regional Office.
- Participation from the Florida Office of Financial Regulation.
- A presentation from Jeremy Mapes, owner and managing member of Mapes Consulting, on security and technology concerns in the age of COVID-19.
- An attorney panel on litigation trends in Florida, the Telephone Consumer Protection Act and new workers compensation litigation.
- A roundtable discussion on best practices.
- A presentation on leadership with David Kelley, CEO and president of The Preferred Group of Tampa.
For those who are unable to make it to participate in person, the events will be live streamed online. Opportunities to interact with exhibitors and sponsors of the event, including Connect International, NPC Inc., Payment Vision, Repay, Applied Innovation, BillingTree, CRM Corp., Payment Savvy, Provana, Renkim, TCN and VoApps, will also be available online.
