ConServe Inc.’s October Jeans for Charity program recipients share a common thread: They all strive to support, empower and educate those battling cancer, either directly or through its impact on their lives.
The organizations that benefited from the New York-based ACA International member company’s October charity donations are the Pluta Cancer Center Foundation, Gilda’s Club of Rochester and the American Cancer Society.
“Our Jeans for Charity program provides our employees with the opportunity to enjoy dressing down while making a difference in our community,” said George Huyler, vice president of human resources at ConServe.
Beneficiaries of the donations thanked ConServe.
“We are so honored and grateful to ConServe’s employees and their Jeans for Charity program,” said Melinda Merante, CEO of Gilda’s Club Rochester. “The money raised will help us expand our programming, we will be able to add more educational, cooking, art, and support classes and introduce more people to Gilda’s through our ‘Gilda’s On the Road’ outreach program. Thanks to ConServe for helping us make many more lives brighter and filled with hope.”
