And the Winner Is…

ACA International’s Financial Literacy Committee unanimously voted to rename its “Ask Dr. Debt” consumer education website, “KnowMyDebt.”  The name was selected from a list of 207 unique, catchy names submitted by 43 ACA International members as part of the committee’s “Ask Dr. Debt Renaming Contest.”

The name was submitted by Patricia Quezada, director of revenue cycle at Progressive Management Systems, in Covina, California. As the winner of this highly competitive contest, Quezada may select from a $500 cash prize or $500 in ACA International products. Congratulations Patricia Quezada!

The new website—currently under development—will provide consumers with balanced, accurate answers to questions frequently asked about debt collection. “KnowMyDebt” will include updated information related to policy, regulatory and legal issues designed to help consumers understand the accounts receivable management industry.

After winning approval from the Financial Literacy Committee, ACA International’s Board of Directors approved the name in compliance with the committee’s stated rules. ACA International will conduct a trademark search before officially changing the name.

Watch for updates from ACA’s Financial Literacy Committee about progress related to the new, updated consumer education website.
