As part of its ongoing effort to help members succeed, ACA International CEO Mark Neeb announced that the association assumed management responsibilities of the Florida Collectors Association (FCA) beginning Feb. 15, 2020.
“As our industry continues to evolve, maintaining strong relationships with state units is an invaluable part of our success as the leading voice of the accounts receivable management industry,” Neeb said. “Members of the Florida Collectors Association are exceptional leaders who are committed to advancing the industry and working toward common goals aimed at educating, promoting and influencing positive change on the state and federal level. We look forward to enhancing our partnership with ARM professionals in Florida as a result of this management transition.”
An Ernst & Young survey conducted on behalf of ACA International in 2016 said there were more than 7,500 ARM professionals in Florida who returned $3.9 billion in debt to creditors.
“ACA International was the obvious choice for this important role given the association’s world-renowned reputation as the go-to leader for everything related to industry education, resources and advocacy,” said Matt Kiefer, FCA president. “With our incredible board leaders and our new management partner, I am confident FCA has a bright future helping our members succeed.”
ACA International will provide FCA with executive leadership, strategic guidance and will manage all business functions to include finance and accounting, marketing communications, membership processing and administrative support. ACA staff member, Debra Kildahl, will serve as FCA’s Executive Director. She holds the Certified Association Executive designation, the highest professional credential in the association industry.
Many members may not be aware that ACA manages several related entities such as the International Association of Commercial Collectors, the Great Lakes Credit and Collection Association, the Georgia Collectors Association and the ACA Foundation and provides contract services to some units as well. This is an area ACA is looks forward to growing in the future.
