ACA International’s compliance department has updated the following ACA SearchPoint™ documents available for members:
The Pintos Decision and Permissible Purposes (#1163); Updated to include new case law related to permissible purposes. See new subsection on judgments (footnotes 3-7 and associated analysis).
Permissible Purposes under the FCRA (#1154); Added two new subsections on judgments and fraudulent debts (see footnotes 7-10 and 17-20 and associated analysis). Reviewed for accuracy and currency.

- Stop Payment Laws (#1222); Updated for accuracy and currency.
- State Licensing Requirements for Changes in Ownership (#2031); Added new statute for California effective Jan. 1, 2022.
- Interstate Chart (#3005); Added new statute for California effective Jan. 1, 2022 and added editor’s note to Illinois on P.L.L.C. requirements.
- State Requirements for Agency Relocation or Closure (#3073); Added new statute for California effective Jan. 1, 2022.
- Check 21 Act (#3049); Reviewed for accuracy and currency – no substantive changes
- Canada: Yukon Collection Laws (#2514); Content reviewed for accuracy and currency –updated contact information and website, noted repealed statutes under section XI. Debt Responsibility.
