ACA International looks forward to working with the new administration in 2021 as we await all final election results, including those determining the Senate majority.
ACA prepared a strategy for advocacy efforts based on every outcome of the election in the months leading up to Nov. 3, as outlined in an election memorandum available for members.
“ACA looks forward to working with the new administration and will lead efforts to educate them about the critical role ACA members play in ensuring consumers can continue to access credit, and small and all-size businesses throughout the country can continue to operate,” said ACA CEO Mark Neeb.
ACA is preparing for the lame-duck session in Congress, which is an important timeframe to continue to advocate on legislative issues impacting the accounts receivable management industry. The CFPB is also expected to release a second part to the long-awaited debt collection rule by the end of the year.
“No matter what the ultimate outcome of the election is, ACA is well-situated to continue to our work with lawmakers in both chambers and on both sides of the aisle to ensure that ACA members can continue to successfully run their businesses and employ thousands of people in their local communities,” said Vice President and Senior Counsel of Federal Advocacy Leah Dempsey. “We look forward to working with the new administration, as well as continuing to engage with the career staff at federal agencies, making decisions that impact the ARM industry.”
