In an effort to connect with association members and others through the use cutting-edge technology and various forms of media, ACA International has expanded its communications outreach with a podcast program titled “ACA Cast.”
The idea behind this new podcast is to provide ACA members, policymakers, the media and other stakeholders with important information and analysis related to the accounts receivable management industry. ACA kicked off the program in October before the 2018 midterm elections with a series of 10-minute episodes featuring the association’s Washington, D.C., senior-level staff, who discussed potential outcomes of the federal and state elections.
And following the midterms, the D.C. staff gathered around the microphone again to analyze the election results and provide some insight on the anticipated impact on the accounts receivable management industry. Other ACA Cast episodes have focused on legislation and issues related to the Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection.
“Members and nonmembers will find tremendous value in listening to ACA Cast episodes,” said Mark Neeb, ACA International’s CEO. “Featured speakers who serve in leadership roles throughout the industry will be invited to participate in ACA Cast to examine an array of topics, from compliance and other legal issues to tips on operating a sound business. This communications vehicle will be extraordinarily important to our outreach and education efforts associated with the BCFP rulemaking expected in the first half of 2019.”
Beginning in January 2019, a series of ACA Cast episodes will focus on building leadership skills, featuring speaker Michael Lamm, managing partner with Philadelphia-based Corporate Advisory Solutions. Lamm’s series, “Leadership Fuel,” kicks off in late January with an informative episode about motivating employees to achieve the best results for their company and their careers.
Other planned ACA Cast episodes for 2019 will highlight ACA members and staff with expertise on subjects relevant to the success of industry professionals. Listeners can expect to hear episodes about legal, regulatory and a host of other education and business topics, including spotlights featuring Campus ACA speakers and instructors. ACA Cast episodes are available at no cost on ACA International’s website. Subscriptions are available on Apple Podcasts, Spotify , Overcast, TuneIn , Stitcher and Buzzsprout.
