Bicycles vs Rocket Ships: Using Accessible, Affordable Technology to Advance Your Business
12:30 PM - 1:30 PM
Big, glamorous tech tools tend to capture our attention. This happens for good reason, as they can be transformative “rocket ships” that take our businesses to the next level. But these rocket ships are also expensive and, if something goes wrong, dangerous. Solutions that are easily accessible, with low barriers (cost and expertise) to use aren’t as flashy. But, like a bicycle, they can help you go from Point A to Point B in fractions of the time. This session will discuss and provide practical examples of “bicycles” that all agencies can use to streamline their operations and improve their businesses.

Meet Me in the “Lobby:” Legislative Impacts
2:00 PM - 3:00 PM
Our lobbyists are advocating for us. Both in creating new and helpful legislation as well as by monitoring potential legislation and by stopping (and favorably modifying) legislation that impacts our industry. This session will include an overview on what’s been accomplished, what’s in the short and long-term plans for future legislation, as well as some “inside baseball” on how they do what they do. It will be an interesting, lively, and important session you won’t want to miss.
