Here are some important dates and deadlines to put on your May calendar:
- The next meeting of the California Department of Financial Protection Innovation’s Debt Collection Advisory Committee will take place virtually on May 1, 2023, at 10 a.m. The agenda includes a regulation update, a roundtable discussion and an opportunity for public comment. - Nominate an ACA member peer for one of our 2023 awards: The ACA International Member of the Year Award, the Industry Advocacy Champion Award or the Visionary Award. Nominations are open until May 1. Learn more.
- The CFPB is seeking comments on a proposed rule to address credit card late fees. Comments are due May 3. Learn more.
- Submit comments to the Federal Communications Commission on mitigating illegal text messages through blocking and caller ID authentication by May 8. Learn more.

- Encourage a student to apply for the ACA International Education Foundation’s Loomer-Mortenson Scholarship, available to individuals employed by or affiliated with the ARM industry and their children. Applications are due by May 15. Apply today.
