Accounts receivable management (ARM) professionals built lasting connections at ACA International’s completely new ACA HOW Revenue Growth Summit, held in Louisville, Kentucky, in March. Attendees took home ideas on increasing their bottom line, mastering text messaging and email, creating RFP wins and much more.
The cornerstone of this “HOW” focused conference was a groundbreaking approach to learning. Conference attendees didn’t just learn about concepts, they also took home real-world tools on HOW to put these approaches into practice.

“I almost didn’t attend this event because I thought after 30 years of running the business, there would be little for me to learn,” said LaDonna Bohling, COO of Contract Callers Inc. “I was so wrong. Every session I attended provided new insights on how my organization could increase revenue. And after all, that’s what it’s all about. None of us are running nonprofits.”
The spring event started with an interactive tour of the Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory, where attendees learned about the legendary bat that shaped the world of baseball and even got to take home their own free mini-bat.
Following the tour, ARM industry professionals gathered for the Welcome Reception, sponsored by TCN, where they could network with fellow attendees, exhibitors and sponsors before the conference education officially began the next day.
Capping off the first night, the Mystery Nightcap introduced attendees to the 2025 Annual Convention & Expo host hotel, Omni Louisville. Code words “Lucky Barrel” got attendees into the speakeasy where State Collection Service, Barton Law Group and Williams & Fudge hosted games and bowling.
The education journey kicked off on Wednesday with a Main Stage session on diversifying your portfolio, providing attendees with insights into various debt collection markets and the strategies needed to enter them successfully.
A breakout session, led by Jose Giron, director of operations at State Collection Service, Inc., and Angela Armstrong, COO at State Collection Service Inc., focused on transforming your approach to business profitability in a highly competitive environment. Attendees learned how to measure and manage KPIs to ensure continued growth and profitability.
“It felt real,” said attendee Katie Borchers, president of Beyond Green Solutions. “The presenters, the panelist—anybody who offered help was doing it genuinely. They were forthcoming with information. They provided real data. They provided statistics on the industry context to help you get started, the contingency rates that they would typically see, trials and tribulations and how they overcame those.”
Wednesday festivities wrapped up with a Happy Hour event sponsored by Channel Payments, where attendees got to sample Bourbon City’s finest bourbon.
The final day of the ACA HOW Revenue Growth Summit featured packed, interactive sessions focused on crafting effective RFPs from the creditor’s perspective led by Tammie Bailey-Fults from NOMACON, as well as a session led by Dan Medina, chief information officer at Gulf Coast Collection, on what data to focus on and how to leverage it to significantly boost your revenue.
Other sessions covered mastering email, maximizing your bottom line, ensuring success following an RFP victory and more.
“Even though I brought handouts from the sessions, I regret not sending more managers from my organization so they could learn firsthand and then network,” Bohling said. “I’ve added five new people to my network, all subject matter experts, and they invited me to reach out if I have questions.”
