Here are some important dates and deadlines to put on your calendar:
- Early-Bird Registration for ACA’s Spring Conference: Start planning for the ACA HOW Revenue Growth Summit, set for March 12-14, 2024, in Louisville, Kentucky. This new spring event brings you dynamic content to help you master the “HOW” of growing revenue for your organization. Register by Feb. 6 to save money on your registration!
- Comments Due on FTC “Junk Fees” Rule: About a year after it started to consider regulating “junk fees,” the Federal Trade Commission issued a proposed rule on fees charged for goods and services that have little to no value for consumers. The public comment period for the proposed rule closes on Feb. 7, 2024. Learn more.
- Delaware Medical Debt Credit Reporting Change: Starting Feb. 14, health care providers and debt collectors are prohibited from reporting medical debts to credit reporting agencies for one year after the consumer is first given a bill for medical debt or three months after the day the most recent payment toward a payment plan was made. - Comments Due on FCC Text Blocking: The Federal Communications Commission has opened comments on its proposals for text blocking and text authentication. Comments are due Feb. 26 and reply comments are due March 11. More here.
- Early-Bird Registration for the CAC Legislative Day: Educate legislators about the ARM industry and how their votes can impact your businesses. - California Licensing Law: Debt collectors who were licensed in California before Jan. 1, 2024, are required to file an annual report on their collection activity under the state’s licensing law by March 15, 2024. Learn more.
