Here are some important dates and deadlines to put on your calendar:
- How Digital Are You?: ACA’s Technology & Innovation Committee wants to hear how you use digital communications. Your participation will help us develop even better compliance and training content. Take the short survey by March 1.
- Benchmarking Opportunity: Get key insights into your operations and how you compare to your peers by participating in ACA’s Benchmarking Intelligence platform. You can sign up to participate any time, but to receive the next quarterly comparison report, you will need to enter your data into the platform by March 31. Learn more.
- Throw Your Hat in the Ring for the ACA Board: ACA is seeking candidates to stand for election on our Board of Directors. Apply by March 4. Learn more.
- Participate in an ACA Committee: Join one of ACA’s member committees, which address issues impacting business operations and provide critical recommendations. Apply now! Appointments will start after our annual convention. Learn more.

- Comments Due on FCC Text Blocking: The Federal Communications Commission has opened comments on its proposals for text blocking and text authentication. Reply comments are due March 11. Learn more.
- Delaware Medical Debt Fee Change: Starting March 14, patients may not be charged interest or late fees on medical debt, regardless of any agreements to the contrary. Learn more.
- Early-Bird Registration for the CAC Legislative Day: Educate legislators about the ARM industry and how their votes can impact your business. If you collect in California, you have a vested interest in the narrative being told at the state capitol. Participate in the CAC Legislative Day this April! The early-bird registration deals end March 15. Learn more.
- Comply with California Licensing Law: Debt collectors who were licensed in California before Jan. 1, 2024, are required to file an annual report on their collection activity under the state’s licensing law by March 15, 2024. Learn more.
- Comment on California Licensee Fees: California’s Department of Financial Protection and Innovation wants input to help define debt collection licensee fees and annual report requirements in a proposed rulemaking(PDF). Comments are due March 27. Learn more.
- Apply to Serve on ACA’s Council of Delegates: ACA invites members to apply for our 2024/25 Council of Delegates. The deadline to apply is April 3. Send the application to ACA’s Corporate Secretary Kimberley Huntington at [email protected].
- Attention, Advocates! Register for the Washington Insights Fly In: Come join us in advocating on critical industry issues with legislators in D.C., April 29-May 1. Save on your hotel by booking with ACA’s room block by April 5, and register for the event by April 15 so we can schedule your meetings on Capitol Hill. Learn more.
