The 2022 Collectors Challenge Month is almost here! It’s time to spring into action and plan your participation to support the ACA International Education Foundation’s (ACAEF) Loomer-Mortenson Scholarship program, which advances the higher education of people connected to the accounts receivable management industry.
Not only does Collectors Challenge Month raise money for a good cause, but it’s also a time to participate in fun activities with your colleagues.
Throughout the month of April, member companies are encouraged to coordinate company fundraising activities to contribute donations to the ACAEF at any level. It’s a great opportunity to foster camaraderie among your team, encourage association involvement and help members of the collection community further their education all at the same time.
Is your company new to ACA or do you have new hires looking to connect with colleagues? Collectors Challenge Month provides the opportunity help support scholarship funding and get team members working together outside of their day-to-day responsibilities.
New this year: Try partnering with another member company by co-hosting a virtual fundraiser or organizing a fundraising activity with members of your state unit.
In 2021, several ACA Education Foundation Committee members organized the “Pay or Pie Challenge” using the following script for a video:
Hi, my name is (first and last name) with (insert company name). April is Collectors Challenge Month. The Loomer-Mortenson Scholarship Program is counting on us. (Name) challenged me to write a check for $500 or get a pie in the face. I want to challenge five agency owners, (list names), to write a check for $500 AND let an employee put a pie in your face.
A video challenge or virtual contest is a great way for companies or state units to work together across the miles during Collectors Challenge Month.
ACA has a variety of ideas available in the Collectors Challenge toolkit as well as communication tools to encourage participation. There is a poster to share at your company and a flyer to share with participants or donors, all available on the ACAEF website.
Thanks to ACA member companies, we anticipate that the Collectors Challenge will continue to be a successful program in 2022. We are looking forward to another great year of fundraising for Loomer-Mortenson Scholarships!
