Data privacy and security are buzzwords that are all too common today—from regulations to legislation at the state and federal level—and it’s important to know what rules to follow and how to protect your company in the event of a data breach.

Federal data privacy legislation is still on the overall agenda in Congress to unify the patchwork of state laws out there, but with no definitive timeline when that will happen and more states, like New York and Washington, crafting their own rules it’s important to be on top of your data privacy game.

Associations Now, published by ASAE: The Center for Association Leadership, recently released an interactive quiz on some of the basic concepts and laws related to data privacy.
