The Federal Trade Commission’s National Consumer Protection Week (NCPW) is March 6-12, 2022, which is a great time for ACA International members to jump into planning and showcase the ways they educate and assist consumers on financial decisions.
“NCPW is the time of year when government agencies, consumer protection groups, and people like you work together to help others understand their consumer rights and make well-informed decisions about money,” FTC Consumer Education Specialist Ari Lazarus said in the news release.
As a part of the accounts receivable management (ARM) industry, ACA members are directly involved in consumers’ financial decisions. Therefore, NCPW is a great time for members to learn more about how to support consumer education on topics such as identity theft, scams and incorrect information on credit reports all while talking to consumers about resolving debts.
ACA members are committed to ethical practices and take the expectations of creditor clients and consumers seriously. As a condition of association membership, all ACA members agree to abide by the ACA Code of Conduct.
