Applications for the California Association of Collectors (CAC) Educational Scholarship Foundation’s scholarship contest are due in just under two months, June 30, 2023.
The semi-finalist winners will be recognized at the CAC 2023 Annual Conference held Oct. 9-10, 2023, at the Westin Long Beach in Long Beach, California, bringing members together for two days of learning, networking and important advocacy discussions.
How to Apply
The CAC scholarship contest is open to current high school juniors and seniors who are enrolled in a California high school and will be attending any accredited public or private college, university, or trade school within 12 months of graduation.
All applicants must write an original essay on the following topic: The importance of establishing and maintaining good financial credit during your college years. Entries must be typed, 12-point font, double spaced, and be between 700 and 1,000 words.
Three semi-finalists will be selected by a panel of scholarship readers and notified of their selection, and all three semi-finalists will be required to attend the annual CAC conference Oct. 9-10 (expenses paid for student and one parent). Semi-finalists will read their essay and be evaluated by a panel of judges who will determine the final placing.
Applications can be submitted using this form by June 30.
