Marion Johnson was “ACA’s First Lady” and was honored among members at the annual convention for her support of the association and former CEO John W. Johnson.

Marion Johnson, who was married to ACA International’s longtime CEO John W. Johnson, died May 28 at the age of 92.
She grew up in Minneapolis and graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1951 with a degree in elementary education.
Marion and John were married for 71 years. She played a critical role in John’s political aspirations, including his run for governor of Minnesota in 1974.
Together, Marion and John built an apartment management business that she managed while her children were in school, according to her obituary.
Also considered “ACA’s First Lady,” Marion was honored at a breakfast at ACA’s 1976 convention, according to the book ACA’s First Fifty Years.
John Johnson retired in 1996 after 41 years with ACA.
In addition to her husband, Marion is survived by their children Daniel (Terri), Karen (Richard) and Nancy, as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
