Ninth Circuit Reversed Grant of Bona Fide Error Defense to Debt Collector

A district court ruled that the debt collector qualified for a bona fide error defense because they had a contract with the creditor requiring it to provide error free accounts. The 9th Circuit reversed the district court's ruling finding that the debt collector's procedures were not reasonably adapted to avoid the violation.
