Are you truly hearing what your team members or job candidates are saying? ACA International’s 2023 Convention & Expo is offering a unique session Thursday, July 27, that delves into the world of coaching, interviewing, and exploring the hidden meanings behind the words we use.
Led by industry experts Cortney Helfrich, chief personnel officer at Wilber & Associates, P.C., and Beth Conklin, director of organizational training and development at State Collection Service Inc., this session, From Interviewing to Coaching: A Deeper Dive to What They Are NOT Saying, will help you enhance your coaching sessions and interviewing techniques.
During this session, attendees will gain valuable insights into the hidden messages that often elude us by dissecting candidate interview responses and team member feedback.
“Attendees can expect an extremely interactive session with prizes, open table discussions and a collaborative environment as we provide valuable insight on how to pay attention and ‘listen’ to what is NOT being said by your employees,” Conklin said.
Whether you’re a collector, manager, human resources professional or senior executive, learning the art of understanding unspoken cues can lead to more effective communication and fruitful outcomes.
“If you have ever left a conversation feeling like there was still a disconnect, this session is for you because you may have missed what was not being said that could have aided in gaining the results you were hoping for,” Helfrich said.
