The CDIA’s sixth annual Law & Industry Conference, Sept. 21-22 at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C., is an essential event to convene, connect and hear from world-class speakers on the most relevant and critical issues facing the industry.
Samuel Levine, director of the Federal Trade Commission’s Bureau of Consumer Protection, will join as a keynote speaker for the conference. Levine’s work at the FTC includes overseeing enforcement, rulemaking, and policy work across a wide range of areas, including privacy, data security, financial services, consumer reporting and more. Before his appointment as director, he served as an attorney advisor to former Commissioner Rohit Chopra and as a staff attorney in the Midwest Regional Office.
Levine will address the FTC’s priorities regarding privacy, data security, data brokers, combatting unfair or deceptive practices, limiting unlawful commercial surveillance, and its recent launch of the Office of Technology.
This year’s agenda includes:
- The most current and pressing topics, including regulation and enforcement, privacy Fair Credit Reporting Act developments, Metro 2® reporting and e-Oscar® dispute handling, state and federal policy updates, and more.
- Legal experts, influential thought leaders, regulators, and officials from the consumer reporting industry.
- Multiple networking opportunities to connect and engage with your peers.
