The next meeting of the California Department of Financial Protection Innovation’s (DFPI) Debt Collection Advisory Committee will take place in Sacramento, California, and over Zoom on May 1, 2024, at 11 a.m. PST.
The Debt Collection Advisory Committee is a seven-member board established under the Debt Collection Licensing Act that advises the DFPI on matters related to the debt collection business, including proposed fee schedules and other requirements.
The upcoming meeting will be open to the public and led by Commissioner Clothilde Hewlett. ACA members on the committee will also be in attendance.
The agenda includes a program and regulation update (outside of pending current regulations), a roundtable discussion and an opportunity for public comment.
