The association is collecting donations to help industry employees and families adversely impacted by the devastating storm.
The American Collectors Association of Texas announced today that it established a Disaster Relief Fund to support victims of Hurricane Harvey who are enduring unprecedented hardship and tragedy stemming from the impact of the storm.
As stories and news continue to document the generosity and goodwill of how people in Texas and throughout the United States are supporting those impacted by Hurricane Harvey, ACA of Texas is banding together as a community and doing its part to help those in need.
"The financial costs of responding to the broad impact of the crisis are only just now beginning to be quantified and, as members of the credit and collection industry, we are committed to helping our local communities and doing our part to support those impacted by the storm," said Tom Morgan, executive director of ACA of Texas.
A generous benefactor of ACA of Texas has pledged a dollar-for-dollar matching gift for up to $100,000 in contributions from donors who help this cause.
Contributions to the ACA of Texas Disaster Relief Fund will be used to directly support families and individuals working in the credit and collection industry who have been adversely impacted by Hurricane Harvey. The Disaster Relief Fund contribution site may be accessed here.
