Issa Moe, an accounts receivable management industry veteran, brings a wide range of experience in compliance, financial regulations, litigation and corporate governance to ACA.
ACA International CEO Mark Neeb released a statement today announcing that veteran attorney and regulatory expert Issa Moe has joined the Minneapolis-based association as its Vice President and General Counsel.
“We are thrilled to welcome Issa as our new general counsel. His extensive experience serving in legal and compliance leadership roles within the accounts receivable management industry makes him an extraordinary addition to our team,” said ACA International CEO Mark Neeb. “He adds tremendous industry insights and expertise, and will bring continued strong leadership to our organization.”
Prior to joining ACA, Moe was general counsel and chief compliance officer for First National Collection Bureau Inc., an ACA member company located in Reno, Nev. He was an attorney with the law firm of Moss & Barnett before moving in-house, where he routinely represented clients in complex civil litigation matters in state and federal courts, including the defense of class action lawsuits. He has extensive experience defending claims under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, Telephone Consumer Protection Act and similar statutes at the state level.
"I’m grateful and excited to have the opportunity to join ACA International and its amazing team,” Moe said. “At ACA, I will have the privilege of serving the membership in a different capacity during this critical time highlighted by a rapidly shifting regulatory environment.”
Moe earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia, where he was inducted into the Phi Eta Sigma Honor Society, and is a cum laude graduate of the University of Pennsylvania Law School.
“I look forward to working with the group here at ACA to contribute to our members’ long-term success,” Moe said. “I’m confident that together with our members, we will accomplish great things for the industry.”
