The ACA International member company’s funds are used to purchase bicycles for local children in need.
Williams & Fudge Inc., an ACA International member company located in Rock Hill, S.C., held its Third Annual Spinning Wheels Prize Pull in October—raising more than $5,800 to purchase bikes for children in need during the holiday season.
Each year, a committee of employees works together to collect items and donations from local businesses. Items include restaurant gift cards, hotel stays, basketball tickets, TVs, iPad and more, according to a news release from the company.
Tickets are sold to employees and their families and winners are announced the day of the event each fall. This year, local TV personality, Lucas McFadden, of CN2, emceed the prize pull and announced the winners.
“Without the generosity of so many community partners, Spinning Wheels would not be possible. We are extremely grateful to all those who contribute and participate,” said Michelle DiEduardo, Spinning Wheels Committee Chair.
The funds will allow Williams & Fudge to purchase approximately 130 bikes to donated to the Toys for Happiness program through the United Way’s Holiday Partnership.
