ACA International members will have the important opportunity to hear from U.S. Sen. John Thune, R-S.D., at the Washington Insights Livestream June 3.
Thune, who is Senate Majority Whip and co-sponsor of the Telephone Robocall Abuse Criminal Enforcement and Deterrence (TRACED) Act, will provide a political update during his presentation.
Working with Thune and his staff has been a core part of ACA’s advocacy efforts, especially since the TRACED Act was proposed in Congress. Those efforts paid off to ensure protections for ensuring legitimate calls get through to consumers remained in the bill.
There is still time to register for the Washington Insights Livestream and learn important legislative and regulatory updates and how to get involved in advocacy through ACA.
Modified from our original conference held in-person on Capitol Hill, the reimagined event will provide the opportunity for more members to join and learn about the advocacy across the miles.
Members will hear from Washington insiders on ACA’s staff and those working with legislators and regulators on Capitol Hill and about the latest updates on legislation, especially bills in response to COVID-19 that impact the industry.
ACA has closely followed these bills, such as the Health and Economic Recovery Omnibus Emergency Solutions Act (HEROES) Act passed in the U.S. House of Representatives May 15 and ongoing packages proposed as part of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES Act).
