How staff at ACA International’s annual Convention & Expo stayed connected before the widespread use of cellphones.

ACA International staff headed to Orlando for the 48th annual Convention & Expo with walkie-talkies in hand to communicate during the event in 1987. Today, a simple text message to a coworker at convention headquarters would suffice, but the 1980s meant carrying a walkie-talkie, probably extra batteries and making sure everyone was in range to communicate.
