The Bureau of Professional Licensing (BPL) within the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA) is moving to a new online licensing and regulatory database for health and occupational professions, called Michigan Professional Licensing User System (MiPLUS).
Because of this shift, LARA will not be processing any new applications, renewals, or changes from Sept. 17, 2021, to Oct. 5, 2021.
The tentative launch date for phase four of the new system, which includes collection agencies, is Oct. 5, 2021.
LARA has provided a FAQ document with answers to questions regarding the conversion to the new system. If you have additional questions or concerns regarding the transition, contact the department at 517-241-0199 or email [email protected].
The department notes licensees should not attempt to create or register for a MiPLUS account until after Oct. 5, 2021. Doing so will negatively impact the ability to interact with the system and will require licensees to contact the department office to correct their account.
The department will be posting additional information for specific industries on the MiPLUS website. More information and videos available about the new system are available here.
