ACA International members from Credit Clearing House of America Inc. opened the doors of their agency for a tour with Whitney Meadows, field representative with U.S. Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., this month.
During the meeting, President Michael Gardner Sr. and Executive Director Michael Gardner Jr. had the opportunity for lengthy discussions with Meadows on industry topics ranging from the Telephone Consumer Protection Act to the proposed debt collection rulemaking from the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
Meadows asked for their input on call blocking and labeling programs, the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act as well as the CFPB’s proposed rule.
If you are interested in hosting an agency tour or meeting with your local representatives, ACA can help coordinate these efforts. Contact Vice President Congressional and Political Affairs Rae Ann Bevington at [email protected] or 202-810-8899 for more information.
