September is packed with exciting and creative Hot Topic webinars, ranging from the history of debt collection to compliance best practices for small agencies, as part of ACA International’s robust training schedule.

Director of Education Kelli Krueger implemented the schedule to include four Hot Topic webinars each month, covering collector development, legal, compliance and operations topics, plus a wild card session. If you’re interested in speaking as part of ACA’s webinars, learn more here.

Here are the webinars coming up in September:

Promoting Your Business and Communicating Your Market Differentiations to Win New Business

Aaron Reiter, director of sales, marketing and business development at The InterProse Corporation, will present a crash course on how to best communicate your strengths and market differentiators to your prospective clients at 2 p.m. CDT Tuesday, Sept. 15. Reiter will share tips on language, channels and strategies that can help you grow with the right client and the right employees.

Developing a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Initiative for Your Organization

Cori Power, learning and development manager at BerganKDV, provided tips and tricks on how to start building a robust diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) initiative within your organization during the ACA Huddle on Wednesday, Sept. 9. The concept has continued to gain traction in the corporate world as its benefits have become increasingly clear. Power’s presentation is the start to a diversity and inclusion webinar series offered by ACA.

The ACA Huddle also features a daily update on the current landscape for receivables businesses as both the federal and state governments are discussing or enacting legislation and regulations that will impact both collection activity and business operations of our member agencies. ACA’s advocacy and compliance teams are tracking this activity and will provide members with a daily update on the current landscape for receivables businesses.

The ACA Huddle is a members-only event and no registration is required. Simply log in to the event website available on ACA’s Education & Events calendar to find the WebEx link and password.

How to Build a Brand That Attracts Top Talent

Attracting talent is both more difficult and more important than ever. How your company looks, sounds and feels can play a crucial part in attracting the right candidates. During this session at 2 p.m. CDT Tuesday, Sept. 17, Tracy Montour, director of marketing for Arbeit in Buffalo, New York, and Mary Shores, CEO and president of Midstate Collection Solutions in Champaign, Illinois, will discuss why companies should create a brand that attracts incredible talent and steps to accomplish that goal.

Psychological Safety in the Workplace

Get tips on building a trusting workplace for your employees during another webinar hosted by Cori Power this month. Psychological safety isn’t about being nice. It’s about giving candid feedback, openly admitting mistakes, and learning from each other. Power will share how this kind of organizational culture is increasingly important in our ever-changing work world. Registration for this webinar, at 2 p.m. CDT Wednesday, Sept. 23, is open now.

Be an Influencer in your Association and Community!

Follow two young professionals on their path to involvement in government, their community and association affairs as they learn the anatomy and cadence of formal meetings and prepare to make solid, professional first impressions. Debra Ciskey, IFCCE, executive vice president at CACi and Leslie Bender, CCCO, CCCA, IFCCE, chief strategy officer and general counsel at BCA Financial Services will lead this webinar at 2 p.m. CDT Thursday, Sept. 24.
