The company recently donated more than 3,000 diapers to an organization supporting families in need.
Kansas Counselors, Inc. recently completed a two-month donation drive to support the organization Happy Bottoms in Lenexa, Kan.
The organization’s goal is to partner with social service agencies to provide diapers to families in need, according to its website.
“Our staff was challenged to help those less fortunate by picking up a box or bag of diapers when they were at the grocery store and donating them to our diaper drive,” said Kansas Counselors, Inc. President Clarence G. White.
“After our 60-day drive was finished, we had collected 3,245 individual diapers from our employees who voluntarily participated in the drive,” White said. “In fact, the folks at Happy Bottoms asked if we could deliver them to their warehouse because our original drop-off location was not able to house all of them.”
Kansas Counselors, Inc. tries to organize events to contribute to local organizations every three to four months.
“We appreciate the heartfelt efforts of all of our staff and employees who recognized the need and then stepped up to help out,” White said. “KCI is committed to helping our community be a better place to live and work.”
