Federal government and public health officials, including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), are responding to the growing number of cases of coronavirus (2019-nCoV), which has been declared a public health emergency for the U.S.
The White House announced the creation of a White House Coronavirus Task Force and an $8 million emergency spending package was signed by President Donald Trump.
According to the CDC, “widespread transmission of COVID-19 would translate into large numbers of people needing medical care at the same time. Schools, childcare centers, workplaces, and other places for mass gatherings may experience more absenteeism.”
As the situation evolves and grows, there are steps to take to protect your business, clients and employees.
Agility Recovery Solutions Inc., an ACA International affiliate member, created a free Coronavirus preparedness kit to ensure that your organization can properly communicate and coordinate through a viral outbreak emergency. The kit, including lessons on best practices, will help ensure the safety of not only your employees but also your customers.
An Agility webinar at 2 p.m. Eastern Standard Time March 11, will offer more details on Coronavirus and Pandemic Planning—Protect Your People and Operations. A link to the archived webinar will be available at a later date.
