Kicking off ACA International’s 2019 Fall Forum & Expo, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau’s Policy Associate Director Tom Pahl will provide insights on the ongoing rulemaking process to update the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
On Nov. 6, Pahl will return to ACA’s premier fall conference at The Drake Hotel in Chicago as the CFPB sifts through the different perspectives represented by the more than 12,000 comments on the proposed rulemaking for the debt collection industry, including in ACA’s comprehensive response.
During his keynote address at ACA’s 2018 Fall Forum & Expo, Pahl encouraged accounts receivable management industry (ARM) professionals and ACA members, especially those representing small businesses, to file comments on the proposed rule.
Attending this year’s Fall Forum & Expo and Pahl’s opening session, “CFPB Rulemaking: Our Comments Are In—Now What?”, is an exclusive opportunity for ARM industry professionals to hear the next steps in the CFPB’s rulemaking process, followed by education and networking opportunities.
The 2019 Fall Forum & Expo features three education tracks: health care, legal and operations.
The new operations track focuses on the CFPB, Technology & The Future and covers how organizations will leverage the use of technologies currently available and those that may be covered under the rule.
You’ll learn answers to questions such as:
- What do businesses need to know about the emergence of new technologies?
- How should businesses operationally adjust their focus and manage their human resources?
- What needs to change with current industry technologies?
The 2019 Fall Forum & Expo also features special add-on seminars available as part of ACA’s advanced compliance designations, including Call Evaluations, Keep Calm and Prevent UDAAP, and Data Security & Privacy II.
