In the first in ACA International’s new collector development Hot Topic webinars, Director of Education Kelli Krueger will provide an overview of strategies for a successful collection call at 2 p.m. Central Standard Time on Tuesday, June 9.
Register for “Trust: The Secret Sauce to Saving Time and Collecting More” to learn about balancing the softer side of collections without giving up or giving in.
Collections is a people-oriented business requiring collectors to be more consumer-centric than ever before. It does mean creating an environment where getting to a win-win solution is seamless.
Collection calls are simple, person-to-person dialogues, but this is “easy said, hard to do” because the very essence of a successful outcome is based on the collector’s ability to build trust within the fraction of a second the consumer is forming their first impression.
Krueger will present on why collectors must be at their very best and first bring value to the table before pushing payment options, or they will sacrifice goodwill and trust.
First-call resolution is the goal, but not every call will end in success. The skills you will learn in this hour-long session will produce both immediate and long-term results of building a trusting relationship that will ripple past the first contact.
In addition to monthly collector development Hot Topic webinars, Krueger also organized a regular schedule for sessions on legal, compliance, operations and “wild card” topics.
Krueger is also seeking speakers for the training sessions and specific topic ideas.
Staring this month, Hot Topics will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays the second and third week of the month, allowing members to plan to attend the trainings on a regular basis.
A request for proposals is available for members to submit their ideas to Krueger.
Interested speakers have the option to submit an idea for a “wild card” training, which will be held the third week of the month.
Be creative, Krueger said, when submitting wild card ideas or suggestions for any of the other topics.
Speaking during a Hot Topic training is a great way to get involved with your association, connect with fellow members, and learn at the same time.
