English seeks a ruling that she is the lawful acting director of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.

Oral arguments for the appeal filed by Consumer Financial Protection Bureau Deputy Director Leandra English are scheduled for April 12 in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit.

English is appealing the district court’s denial of a preliminary injunction motion in her case focused on a favorable ruling that she is the lawful acting director of the CFPB, The National Law Review reports.

English filed the appeal in January.

The U.S. Department of Justice’s opposition brief is due by Feb. 23 and English’s reply is due by March 6. Any amicus briefs in support of English’s case were due by Feb. 6 and amicus briefs in support of the DOJ and Acting Director Mick Mulvaney must be filed by March 2, according to the article.
