The change in party majority from Republicans to Democrats in the U.S. House of Representatives won’t impact leadership of the Federal Communications Commission, according to its chairman, Ajit Pai.
Pai told reporters Thursday following the FCC’s meeting that he will continue to serve the remaining two years of his term while the commission may face more oversight now that the House is controlled by Democrats, according to Broadcasting & Cable.
“I fully plan and expect to serve as the chairman of the Federal Communications Commission for the next two years,” he said.
